    There are some good and classic drinks in this book but many, if not most of the recipes use exotic ingredients. The home bar is not likely to have these ingredients, in fact I have never heard of some of them. This book may be better suited for commercial bars, and not for the amateur mixologist.

    This is a great book that takes cocktail making seriously with plenty of old and novel recipes. That said, the same author has also released an app that is even better, with video instructions and actual pictures. It contains virtually the same info as this book, but in a surprisingly easy to use app. If you're new to mixology get the app (Speakeasy Cocktails). If you don't need pictures, video instructions and demonstrations of technique, if you're just looking for a solid recipe book, this one will do just fine.
