When the new girl in town, Eliza “Izzy” Forrester decides to hit the local drinking hole, she’s not ready to meet the town’s good, solid guy. She’s definitely not prepared to engage in her very first hookup with him.

Then Izzy wakes up the next morning in Johnny Gamble’s bed and good girl Izzy finds she likes being bad for Johnny.

Floating on air thinking this is going somewhere, Izzy quickly learns why Johnny holds distant.

He’s in love with someone else. Someone who left him and did it leaving him broken. Whoever was up next would be runner up, second best. Knowing the stakes, Izzy will take what she can get from the gentleman that’s Johnny Gamble. And even knowing his heart might never mend, Johnny can’t seem to stay away from Izzy.

Until out of nowhere, his lost love comes back to town. He’s not going back, but Johnny still knows the right thing to do is let Izzy go.

And Izzy knew the stakes, so she makes it easy and slips though his fingers.

But that’s before Johnny realizes Eliza moved to town to escape danger that’s been swirling around her.

And that’s why Johnny decides to wade in.

That and the fact Eliza Forrester makes breakfast with a canary singing on her shoulder and fills out tight dresses in a way Johnny Gamble cannot get out of his head.

    Just finished this book. I’m sitting here watching the snow falling out the window, with Indiana in a deep freeze. I’m trying to figure out what to say about this wonderful book. One of my favorites of all time! KA is awesome! I want a Toby and Addie story. Please! Lol. 😍

    This started as a very cute story and then went down in quality from there. Bad grammar, bad editing, and just really bad writing. Repetitious and false sounding dialogue. It read like someone just hit copy and paste for ten chapters.

    First time reading this author. I read it because it was rated five stars and had a lot of enthusiastic reviews. There were parts of the story I really liked, parts I felt were more descriptive than they needed to be and happened more often than was called for. I expected trouble from Izzy’s X not Shandra’s brother, that seemed a little over the top. It is not what I would rate a five star book, but I can understand the appeal to certain readers.

    Wonderful book gorgeous story I loved it sooo much! Just wanted the epilogue to be a little longer and more detailed about Johnny and Izzy’s future. But oh my goodness Kristen has outdone herself with this beautiful story she has told about this beautiful couple and their wonderful love story!

    KA is the only author I will pre-order every time. This book is amazing. Love Johnny, Iz and Margot and all the other characters that live within her cool, cool world. Her books are girl power to the 10th power. I never like to give too much away, I like to go into books a clean slate and just enjoy the ride. Rest assured you will LOVE this book!!!!!!!!!!!! KA, I patiently wait for my Chaos fix. You ROCK Chick :)
